Qyra Sites

Terms, in plain English.

Last updated 23 August 2026

Qyra Sites is a web-design studio run by Luke Blackwell and Tristan Moll, operating under Qyra One LLC, a Virginia limited liability company. These terms cover two things: using this website, and engaging us to build one. If we sign a separate written agreement with you, that agreement wins wherever the two disagree.

Using this site

You are welcome to read it, share it and quote it. The design, code, words and images on qyrasites.com belong to Qyra One LLC — please do not copy the site wholesale or pass it off as your own work.

The four showcase sites, and the “before” site shown on the homepage, are concepts for businesses that do not exist. The company names, reviews, statistics, licence numbers and phone numbers in them are invented for the purpose of demonstrating design work. They are not clients, not endorsements, and not claims about work we have delivered. Each one is labelled as a concept on the mockup itself.

Quotes and what a project includes

Every project is quoted in writing after the strategy call. The quote states the scope: the pages, the rounds of revisions, and what we need from you. Anything outside that scope is new work, and we will price it before starting rather than after.

Timeframes on this site — “about four weeks”, “three to five weeks”, replies “within one business day” — describe how we work and what we aim for. They are honest targets, not guarantees, and they assume you come back to us at roughly the pace the quote sets out. A project waiting on content or feedback pauses; we will tell you when that happens rather than let a date slide quietly.

What you own

Everything, once the final invoice is paid. On payment, Qyra One LLC assigns to you all rights in the site we build for you: the code, the design, the page structure and the words we drafted. The domain, the hosting and every account are set up in your name from day one, so you never have to ask us for access to your own business.

Two exceptions, and they are the normal ones. Third-party components keep their own licences — the fonts, and the animation library, are used under their respective terms and are licensed to you, not transferred by us. And we keep the right to describe the work and show it in our portfolio, unless you ask us not to.

What you supply — your logo, photographs, copy and trade marks — stays yours. By giving it to us you confirm you have the right to use it, and you agree to cover us if a third party says otherwise.

Paying, and stopping

Unless the quote says otherwise, projects are billed in two parts: a deposit to start, and the balance before launch. Invoices are due within 14 days.

You can stop a project at any time. If you do, you pay for the work completed up to that point and the deposit is not refunded — it holds the schedule. If we stop, for any reason other than non-payment, we refund the unused portion of what you have paid and hand over everything produced so far.

We may decline or end an engagement — for unlawful content, for abuse of our team, or for invoices that go unpaid after two reminders.

After launch

Every project includes a thirty-day tune-up once real visitors arrive. Beyond that, ongoing changes are part of the relationship as described in the quote. “Usually the same day” is how we work in practice; it is not an SLA, and we are two people, so an emergency at 2am is an email, not a pager.

Limits

We build carefully and we test what we ship, but no website is guaranteed to be uninterrupted, error-free, or to produce any particular commercial result. Nothing here promises a ranking, a conversion rate, or a volume of enquiries.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Qyra One LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the work the claim relates to. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Hosting, domains, email and any other third-party service are provided by those third parties under their own terms. We set them up in your name and we will help when something breaks, but we do not control them.

Privacy

What this site collects, why, and how to have it deleted is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, and the state and federal courts sitting in Virginia have exclusive jurisdiction. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.

Changes

If these terms change we will update the date at the top. The terms that apply to your project are the ones in force when we quoted it.
